Monique Salmon is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia and over 20 years of experience supporting people of all ages. She helps clients navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, identity questions, loss, life transitions, school and work pressures, and the complexities of living alongside chronic pain. She works with a diverse range of clients, including neurodiverse individuals, people across sexual orientations and gender identities, and those from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Her experience spans youth, young adults, and adults, allowing her to adapt her approach to meet each person exactly where they are. Monique’s approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded. She integrates evidence-based and experiential approaches including Person-Centered Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic-based practices, Narrative Therapy, CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and expressive/experiential methods to help clients develop insight, emotional flexibility, and practical strategies for navigating life’s challenges. She believes meaningful change grows through curiosity, compassion, and connection to one’s own inner wisdom. Outside of work, Monique enjoys skiing, kayaking, hiking, cycling, singing with her choir, writing poetry, and spending time with family and friends.
